How often should I replace my Doulton ceramic water filter candle?
For optimal performance, we recommend replacing your ceramic filter candle every 6 to 12 months, or after filtering approximately 2,270 litres (600 gallons) of water, depending on your local water quality.
Do Doulton filters remove fluoride from drinking water?
Our standard ceramic filters are designed to remove bacteria and cysts. To remove fluoride, you will need to use our specialized Fluoride Reduction Cartridge in a multi-stage system.
How do I clean my ceramic filter element?
If the water flow rate decreases, you can clean the filter by scrubbing the surface with a Scotch-Brite pad or a soft brush under cold running water. Never use soap or detergents on the ceramic.
What is your return policy for water filtration systems?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Please note that for hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on filter candles that have been wetted or removed from their sterile wrapping.
How long does shipping take within the UK and internationally?
UK orders typically arrive within 2-4 business days. International shipping times vary by destination but generally take between 7-14 business days depending on customs processing.
Are Doulton filters compatible with other brands of housings?
Doulton 'Short Mount' and 'Long Mount' candles are designed to fit Doulton housings. However, our 'OBE' (Open Both Ends) cartridges are standard 10-inch sizes and are compatible with most industry-standard water filter housings.
